For those of you who don’t know this is just a reminder that cisco updated the Cisco CCNA Wireless exam, here are the details:

Before:
Current Exam #: 640-721 IUWNE
Last Day to Test: May 11, 2012

After:
New Exam #: 640-722 IUWNE
New Exam Available at Pearson VUE: January 24, 2012

Details on the new exam can be found here.

Remember that if you have studied for the previous one you may need to review additional information which may have been added to the new exam. Some of the previous study material may of also been removed from the new exam.

Older CCNA Wireless books may be obsolete for this test, make sure you get one that is supported for 640-722!!

Cisco Router information including best choices for studying, small business & enterprise!

Selecting the correct router is can take longer than ordering the damn thing sometimes, so lets make sure you get it right ok?

You really need to do your homework on this, here are a few things you should review:

Performance
How many packets per second can the router forward?

Upgradability
Meaning can you upgrade your RAM and Flash?

Redundancy
Does this Cisco router offer redundancy when running at full mass? Does it include hot-swappable power supplies or high-availability protocol switching like HSRP or VRRP?

Manageability
It is easy or hard to manage the Cisco router? Does it come with a GUI interface or is it all command line? Will you be able to manage all of your routers easily once your network grows?

Expandability
How many WAN and LAN interfaces are supported by the router and how many can you add in future use?

Software features
Do you need a specific interface? POE? Vo-IP?
